Cry Out with a Repentant Heart

Praise & Worship: : Create in me a Clean Heart by Donnie McClurkin

God’s Love and Salvation

God the Father loves you. Jesus Christ loves you.

John 3:16 (KJV) – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the price for our sins. He suffered, bled, and died to save you and me.

Conviction and Repentance

Conviction comes from the Holy Spirit a deep awareness of sin that leads us to repentance.

Repentance is turning our heart away from sin and turning our heart to God.

John 16:8 (KJV) – “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”

Isaiah 59:1-2 (KJV) – “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

Confession and Forgiveness

There is an exchange, when we confess our sins. He gives us His blood for forgiveness and cleansing. We give him our sins.

1 John 1:9 (KJV) – “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Romans 6:23 (KJV) – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Renewal of the Heart

We cannot overcome sin by our own strength. We can only overcome sin through surrender to Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 51:10 (KJV) – “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Psalm 119:11 (KJV) – “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

Closing Prayer

Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV) – “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You asking for forgiveness and a clean heart. Remove every sin, every hindrance, and every weight that keeps us from You. Wash us in the blood of Jesus Christ. Renew a right spirit within us. Let Your Word be hidden in our hearts so that we may walk in your ways in righteousness. By Your Holy Spirit, guide us in the way everlasting. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

John 16:8 KJV  And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Isaiah 59:1-2 KJV Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Psalm 51:10 KJV Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Psalm 119:11 KJV Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

1 John 1:9 KJV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Romans 6:23 KJV For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

This also reminds me of the scripture that says, “ how can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.” Psalms 119:9
