If you’re dealing with depression or rejection, I want to encourage you today with a simple yet powerful truth: Think on His goodness.
There’s a song I love called “Goodness of God.” Every time I hear it, I’m reminded of how faithful and kind God is. Even in the midst of our hardest moments.

Psalm 23:6 (KJV) says,
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”
That’s not just poetry, it’s a promise. His goodness and mercy are chasing after you every day of your life.
Sometimes, we need to go back to the beginning. To the book of Genesis where God created everything: the birds of the air, the grass, the flowers, the trees, the wind, the sky, the clouds, the sun, the moon. Taking time to reflect on His creation is powerful. Try sitting outside, soaking in some vitamin D and fresh air, and just breathe. Let the peace of His presence fill you.
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”
Genesis 1:31 KJV
God’s goodness is truly amazing. He is faithful, even when we are faithless.
Think of an apple tree. Think of a cotton plant how complex and intricate they are. Then go deeper: consider the miracle of human life, from conception to birth. His greatness is unsearchable. We can’t even begin to grasp the complexity of creation, and yet He holds it all together.
“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And his greatness is unsearchable.”
Psalm 145:3 KJV
Colossians 1:13 (KJV) reminds us,
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”
Let that truth settle in your heart. You’ve been rescued. You’re no longer stuck in darkness. You’ve been brought into His marvelous light at salvation.
Now think about this: God spoke everything into existence with His words. And you, YES, you are made in His image. Your words carry power. He is your Father, and He loves you deeply.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Genesis 1:27 KJV
Jesus gave His followers real authority.
Matthew 10:1 (KJV) says,
“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.”
That same authority, through Jesus, is yours today. You don’t have to live under the weight of depression or rejection. You can speak to those things and command them to leave.
So today, command depression to go. Command rejection to go. Speak this truth out loud:
“Jesus set me free by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Cry out:
“Abba Father, I love you. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for being faithful. Thank you for your goodness and mercy following me.”
Let that be the cry of your heart today. Let His goodness lead you out of darkness and into light.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36 KJV
